Net P&L = gross P&L − [(round trips × 2 × commission per order) + (round trips × slippage per round trip)].
Important limitations
- •A round trip assumes one entry order and one exit order; strategies with scaling or partial fills can generate more orders.
- •Slippage is entered as a cash amount per round trip and should reflect the instrument and execution style being tested.
- •Taxes, financing, market-data fees, platform fees, and other costs are not included.
